Got Insurance?
by Dr. Randy Martin, OMD, PhD, LAc

Many prospective patients inquire as to whether they have insurance that will cover the treatment of acupuncture. And I’m here to tell you that the answer is an emphatic “YES”!

There are almost no insurance companies these days that don’t have coverage for acupuncture.

30+ years ago, when first decided to go to acupuncture college and embark on this amazing career, I remember being told by many people I respected that I was kind of crazy. “Who would become an acupuncturist,” they would ask? I knew at the time I was being called to follow my heart’s longing.

At that time, there were no insurance companies that paid for acupuncture, so my business was strictly on a cash basis. But things have changed over the years, and today, virtually every single insurance company offers an acupuncture benefit.

If you want to find out, just shoot me an email and I’ll respond with a list of questions for you to call and ask. Meanwhile, here is a partial list of the companies that cover acupuncture that I’m aware of:

*Anthem Blue Cross

*Blue Shield

*Cigna

*Aetna

*United

*Aftra, SAG, Motion Picture, Directors, and Writers Guild

*Align

*Facey, ASH, Lakeside, Regal

*Oscar

*Landmark

*Kaiser

*Triwest / Veteran Administration

*Worker’s Compensation cases

*Auto Accident Cases

Email me for the list of questions for you to call and ask your insurance company to see your exact coverage.
