Thirty six carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) patients were treated with accupuncture at Pc 6 and Pc 7 (points on the wrist) as the major accupuncture points for at least 4 treatments. Half the patients had previously had surgery on one wrist but the operation did not relieve the pain, numbness or tingling in the fingers.
All patients responded immediately to the accupuncture treatments. Long-term follow-up showed that 82% received good long-term relief after accupuncture treatment for up to two years, and some even longer.
