Breast Cysts and PCOS – Your Holistic Treatment Options
by Dr. Randy Martin, OMD, CCH, QME, PhD
I wanted to share the following article I’ve written with you. It shows positive results with the use of holistic treatment for breast cysts and lumps in the breasts. In this case, the patient selected NOT to receive acupuncture. But I have seen quite a few cases of my patient’s breast cysts reduce in size or be completely eliminated using acupuncture.
I have also seen this work for uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts. The most pain and discomfort usually occurs before the menstrual period begins.
Please always check with your Medical Doctor prior to beginning any form of holistic treatment for cysts or lumps and fibroids anywhere in the body since an accurate diagnosis is essential to the success of treatment, and a teamwork approach with your medical doctor is what always works best!
I have also seen this approach work well for PCOS, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. So here is my article — enjoy:
CONTROL AS AN IMPEDIMENT TO CURE:
Breast Cysts and Relationship Issues
by Dr. Randy Martin, OMD, PhD, LAc, CCH
Doctor of Chinese Medicine – Certified Classical Homeopath
Hope was referred to me by her psychotherapist to treat a pattern of chronic breast cysts. She was a single woman in her mid-30s who had a dreadful fear of giving up any control in her life. A successful professional screenwriter, she had yet to experience a personal romantic relationship of over three months in length.
Her Chinese medical diagnosis was that of severely stagnant liver chi. Her tongue was quite purple, with a thick, yellow, pasty coating. Blood tests confirmed liver stagnation, showing elevated liver enzymes. I explained to Hope that her liver problem was causing the breast cysts and that we were going to have to assertively work on the liver through diet, acupuncture, herbs, and homeopathy.
Acupuncture did not appeal to her; she was adamant about not allowing anyone to stick needles into her. This is a rather typical reaction in someone as controlling as Hope was. Thankfully, she did agree to herbs, vitamin supplements, and homeopathy.
I have seen this liver stagnation syndrome multiple times with psychologically controlling individuals who have a hard time trusting another person. Additionally, I have seen this type of person be fearful to receive acupuncture. They can be fearful of letting anything in (including needles), and of receiving.
The first homeopathic remedy I prescribed worked wonders. The remedy was Asterias rub (Starfish), which has an affinity for breast problems, especially for severe fibrocystic breast disease, as Hope unfortunately had.
Upon usage, the lumps in her breasts began to soften and dissipate within two months.
We experienced a great start to her healing both with homeopathic remedies and with antioxidant supplements such as Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins (OPCs), Coenzyme Q10 (CQ10), vitamin C, and vitamin E. Additionally, herbs for liver detoxification were prescribed. As the cysts began to soften, Hope was very pleased with the results. After six months, the breast cysts were completely gone.
Hope’s medical doctor was amazed.
I’d also like to give a special prayer to the people of the Philippines
who are suffering so much from the recent typhoon and hope they
receive the aid they need asap.
